October, 2009 (San Ramon, California and Carrollton, Texas) Shamrock Renewable Energy Services, Inc., a turnkey installation outsourcing provider for both residential and commercial renewable energy products, and Texana Security LLC, a full service security systems provider, jointly announced the formation of a strategic alliance that will initially service customers in California, Arizona, Nevada and in the Tri State area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

“Over the past year, we have seen an increased requirement for security systems to deter the theft of solar panels, said Jim Curran, President of Shamrock . “We needed to find a solution that would be cost effective, deliver state of the art technology, and provide “real time” incident reporting. “

“Until now, security solutions have generally required the installation of expensive, hard-wired, sensor or camera based systems which may cost more than the asset being protected and which may be prone to false alarms. We were introduced to Texana Security, who showed us their “Video Verification” alarm system. The Texana system is wireless, provides its own power, and communicates video alarm messages via cellular transport. Since there is no wiring or, trenching associated with installation, the cost of providing security is extremely reasonable. The system can be installed quickly and virtually anywhere. We are very excited to be able to provide the Texana solution as part of our offerings. We have already successfully integrated it into several winery applications; and several more are in the pipeline.”

Texana’s CEO, Sean O’Keefe stated, “We have the right product for Shamrock’s application and we are extremely pleased they have chosen Texana as a partner. Not only can we provide to Shamrock the security hardware suitable for their specific applications, we also provide 24/7 monitoring services via our UL/5 Diamond central monitoring facility.” O’Keefe added, “In addition to cost-effective security the “video verification” of incidents virtually eliminates false alarm problems. Because we are receiving an actual video file of what or who causes an alarm, our central station is able to notify responding police of an actual “crime in progress” with identification of perpetrators. The bottom line is faster police response, a safer response environment for the police, and more apprehensions of criminals.”
